Following a tragic fire in 1909, local visionaries formed the Wise Hotel Corporate, commissioning the construction of a 22-room hotel in 1910. As ownership changed hands, Herbert Thompson’s stewardship in 1925 marked a pivotal era, transforming the establishment into the iconic Inn we know today.
